I recently listened to a podcast all about favorite podcasts, which really sparked my curiosity and gave me a ton of new shows to listen too. Like Netflix, I love a good Podcast show and can spend hours binge listening. I love that there is a whole world of people just like me and you creating amazing content out there. If you grabbed my iPhone and glanced through my podcast library you would find an array of topics. I’m going to let you in on my favorites, and you might even learn something new and surprising about me.
My Favorite Podcasts
Looking through my list, I seriously have about 20 podcasts that I regularly listen to. I drive a lot! And music gets boring! And I’m too much of a tightwad for Sirius XM! And I like being able to binge listen to multiple episodes! So podcasts are usually my go-to when we are in the car. To help you wade through all my favorites, I’m going to break these out into categories. Home Design, Blog/Business, and Entertainment. Here is my list of favorite podcasts shows.
Home Design Podcasts
1 |YOUNG HOUSE LOVE HAS A PODCASTS It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of John and Sherry Petersik! I credit their famous exit from blogging in 2014 with the creation of this here blog. Lucky for us, their official farewell was just a sabbatical and they came back a year later with this here podcast! There they were once again, blazing the trail for home decor influencers. Today it’s still going strong with weekly episodes released on Mondays. You can get all their quirky goodness in a 45-minute show.
2 | CHRIS LOVES JULIA THE PODCAST (now off air) Another favorite blog of mine, Chris Loves Julia had an amazing podcast that was on for almost two years. Their fun little decor tidbits pushed me to do bold things, like paint my piano mustard yellow. While their show is no more, you can go back and listen to their 60 episodes of home goodness.
3 | THE HOME HOUR The Home Hour is a new to me podcast. Graham and Kristen are two friends who tackle all things homemaking. Their podcast episodes go live every other Thursday. I loved their take on the grocery games recently.
Blogging and Business Podcasts
1 | BOSS GIRL CREATIVE If you are wanting the real nitty-gritty on running a successful blog than Taylor Bradford is your boss girl. Each Wednesday she is on tackling blogging hurdles and how to overcome them. Not only is her insight valuable, but she truly cares about her listeners and desires for us all to be successful. Her passion is contagious and I always leave Wednesday feeling pumped and ready to tackle a new blogging task.
2 | MUMS WITH HUSTLE PODCAST Tracey Harris is an Aussie and I basically listen to her podcast because of her accent. That and she provides some amazing social media advice. Her thoughts on growing an Instagram and cultivating a community has been so beneficial to me. She’s all about making that mum/worklife hustle flow smoothly.
3 | RAW MILK PODCAST Beth Kirby’s podcast Raw Milk is brand new, but don’t let that fool you. This show is mega professional and her real and honest story gives you all the “I can do this too” vibes. I love how open she is and her Instagram strategy is spot on.
4 | BLOGGER GENIUS I was a fan of MiloTree as a plugin long before I discovered the podcast, so when I found them I knew I had to subscribe. Jillian provides amazing interviews with bloggers who share about their journey. It’s always refreshing to hear other bloggers adventures, which is why I always press play on this podcast.
5 | THE DECLARE CONFERENCE PODCAST This podcast for Christian creatives puts a spiritual spin on life. Not just for bloggers, this podcast sits down with amazing women in the creative field and shares their stories.
Entertainment
1 | THE BIBLE BINGE Knox and Jamie put a hysterical pop culture spin on Bible stories. Don’t subscribe to this if you are wanting a buttoned-up evangelical show. But if you are wanting some good, light-hearted storytelling including a cast of characters like Dax Shepherd playing a revising role of Lot, then this podcast has to be on your playlist.
2 | THE GLASS CASE OF EMOTION *NERD ALERT* My obsession with up and comer Nascar driver Ryan Blaney takes on a whole new meaning with his hit podcast Glass Case of Emotion. Ryan along with co-hosts Kim Coon and Chuck Bush usually tackle subjects like lastest movie releases, strange and interesting news and their topics usually rabbit hole into poop. Yes, poop! << — Told you that you would learn some strange facts about me today. 😂
Now that you know what’s on my iTunes Podcast playlist, I would love it if you shared with me a few of your favorite podcasts as well?
