Y’all it’s Fall!
As is my yearly tradition, I spent the long weekend dragging out all my fall decor. Arranging, and then rearranging it all to transition my home into a golden colored goodness. I gave you all a sneak peak on my Insta Stories this weekend. Now, I’m here to chat about all things fall in today’s post. Plus overload you with pictures.
Fall at The Abode
For phase I of my fall decor, I wanted to be a bit more simplistic. For my mantle, I used my favorite DIY Fall banner (you can see how I created a similar one here.) and created a simple centerpiece using an ironstone pitcher filled with wheat stocks and cascaded some faux florals out of it. Flanking either side are two buffalo check napkins that I have hanging over.
My absolute favorite corner to stage for any holiday is the vintage mirrored door I found when we first purchased our new house. This always makes for a fun side vignette. I added wheat and cotton stems to the large vase. I also layered in my vintage brass candlesticks here, I love the brass metals for fall. I’m sure you’ll spot them all over my house this season. They are just so much fun.
The piano is my pride and joy this season. When I painted it mustard yellow I could not wait for fall. Here it is in Phase I, I plan to add more and more pumpkins throughout the season until it is just overflowing with all the pumpkin decor. To give this spot depth, I used several stacks of books to give the pumpkins various height. Then I filled in all the gaps with faux florals and mini hay bales from the Dollar Tree.
Keeping up with my simplistic fall theme, I didn’t go crazy with my table setting. For the runner, I used two napkins and added a clear glass demijohn with a few eucalyptus branches to fill it. Then I added these adorable little brass deer. Yall, like I said, I’m loving brass this year. Funny story, I can remember these little deer for my whole life. My Mom kept them on a bookshelf growing up close by our baby pictures. The other day when Aspen was visiting, I guess she decided to go shopping around Mamaws house. When she got home these two little deer were in her suitcase. I trained her well 😂 because these go perfectly here on my table.
Here are just a few more little fall vignette’s I created around my home. I hope this post has at least provided you with a little fall inspiration of your own as you get ready to bring in the cooler season. I’ve got so much in store for you guys coming up. It’s all too exciting to keep inside…I’m busing at the seems. I promise some exciting news to come.
